About this tool, tips & examples

What it does

The Decision Maker gives you an instant answer when you’re stuck: a straight yes-or-no, or a pick from options you type yourself. Ask once or draw up to 100 answers in a batch, and reuse a seed if a decision needs to be repeatable.

Common use cases

  • Breaking ties — yes/no on the small stuff: order in or cook, gym now or later, reply tonight or tomorrow.
  • Choosing between options — paste “pizza / sushi / tacos” and let the picker end the debate.
  • Games and icebreakers — quick-fire answers as a party mechanic.
  • Beating decision fatigue — outsource the choices that don’t deserve ten more minutes of deliberation.

Settings

  • Mode — yes/no answers, or custom options.
  • Options — your own choices, one per line (custom mode).
  • How many — one answer or up to 100 at once.
  • Seed — the same seed and settings return the same answers; leave it blank for a fresh verdict every time.

Privacy note

Answers are generated locally in your browser and never uploaded. This is a seeded randomizer for everyday choices — not advice, and not a secure lottery for anything with stakes.

FAQ

Is it a fair 50/50? Yes — in yes/no mode both outcomes are equally likely, and in custom mode every option has the same chance.

Why would I seed a decision? Mostly for fun or fairness demos — “same question, same seed, same answer” proves nobody rerolled until they liked the result.

The classic trick still works: If the answer disappoints you, you’ve just learned what you actually wanted. That’s the decision — you’re welcome.

Something with more ceremony? Spin the Spinner Wheel for drama, or ask the Magic 8-Ball for attitude.
