About this tool, tips & examples
What it does
The Spinner Wheel puts your own options on a wheel and spins: one spin for a decision with ceremony, or up to 100 spins in a batch. Every option has an equal chance, and seeded spins can be reproduced — the wheel of fortune, with receipts.
Common use cases
- Group decisions — where to eat, what to watch, who goes first — settled with more drama than a coin flip (a food-picker preset included).
- Classroom engagement — spin for the next reader, topic, or reward; the wheel makes selection an event.
- Games and giveaways — prize wheels and challenge selectors for streams and parties.
- Repeated draws — batch spins simulate many rounds at once for testing how often each option lands.
Settings
- Options — one per line; duplicate an option to weight it (two lines of “pizza” doubles pizza’s odds).
- Spins — 1 to 100 per run.
- Seed — the same seed and options reproduce the same spins; leave blank for fresh fate every time.
Privacy note
Spins happen locally in your browser — your options list is never uploaded. Seeded randomness for fun and fairness; not a certified prize-draw mechanism for anything regulated.
FAQ
Is every slice really equal? Yes — each line has the same probability per spin. Weight by duplication when you want unequal odds, or use the Weighted Picker for explicit weights.
Can the same option win twice in a batch? Yes — spins are independent, like a real wheel. For unique winners, the Raffle Picker draws without repeats.
Why does spinning feel better than picking? Ceremony creates buy-in: the group watches the wheel, not the person holding it. Same math as the Random Picker — better theater.
